- In 1990, in the sport of Athletics, he obtained 7 medals in national events: 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze; participated in a cup Cuba, in a Barrientos Inmemorian, in 4 racing festivals with fences first category. That same year he participated in the National Youth Championship, obtaining a silver medal and in the Special National Youth Championship, achieving the same results. The achievements made that year gave him the opportunity to participate in the Central American and Caribbean Youth Games, held in Havana.
- In 1991 he went on to practice another sport (Soccer), getting to participate in 2 National Championships in the first category, in one of them, his team achieved one of the best lifetime results of Soccer first category in the province (4th place ). Previously, in 1982, he had participated in a National Pioneril Championship in the 11-12 year category of this sport.
- In Baseball, he participated in 10 National Series and was part of the teams that obtained the best results of the province for life in this sport (4th and 7th places). In addition, in 2004 he participated in the All-Star Game, obtaining his team first place, which earned him to form a Cuba team that was capped by a team of professional stars of Venezuelan baseball.
Other aspects
In 1999 he was awarded the replicas of the machetes of José Martí and Máximo Gómez and declared Illustrious Son of the Imías municipality.
He fulfilled an internationalist mission in the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela between 2006 and 2009, where he obtained an MB evaluation and was twice the Best Sports Gloria Coach in Lara state. In this mission he was selected twice by the Cuban Sports Mission in Venezuela to exercise the function of representative of the Guantánamo province in the Homeland Mission, being recognized for the good work carried out. He also received the Honor 50th Anniversary of the Revolution diploma.
Between 2012 and 2015 he returned to fulfill an internationalist mission in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, obtaining an MB evaluation again. On this occasion he worked directly with the Lara State High Competition Baseball, with the men's Triple A teams and the women's team, obtaining in 2013 1st national place in both categories and contributing 7 athletes to the Men's Youth World Cup held in China. He also achieved ratification of 1st place in both categories in 2014, contributing 4 athletes to the World Championship held in Japan and 10 athletes to the Men's Pan American Championship.
