BUSINESS UNIT BASED AQUEDUCT AND SEWERAGE

"Imías"

For the supply of water to the population we have a total of 14 aqueducts, 4 gravity aqueducts, among them those of San Ignacio and Rio del Medio, which are the main aqueducts of our municipality. We also have 10 pumping stations, 5 water treatment stations with sodium hypochlorite, among them, two with renewable energy (Los Calderos and Vega de El Jobo) and work is underway to start up a new station for the El Rincón - El Salao community. Through these aqueducts, 13 087 inhabitants with home connections and 11 population settlements are served through tank cars, with 1,015 inhabitants.

Part of two population settlements, Imías and the Jesús Lores district, with a total of 574 inhabitants, benefit from the sewerage system.

We have a total of 13 properties, including the UEB headquarters, 11 in good condition and 2 in fair condition, the latter being the Chlorine Station and the Tacre Station.

There are 10 transport teams to respond to water supply and to the repair, maintenance and assembly of hydrometers (5 for pipe water supply, 2 for maintenance, 1 for assembly and repair of hydrometers, 1 trolley for cleaning ditches and 1 administrative means).
