The Imías Municipal Health Directorate is in charge of complying with and enforcing in the territory the regulations, procedures, principles and methods that govern health services, hygiene and epidemiology; prioritizing the needs of the population and the proper functioning of services. It implements and controls the strategies and programs of MINSAP, executes the activities of medicines, medical effects, electromedicine, as well as the services of assurance and support for its management, controls compliance with the norms and procedures of narcotic substances.

"NICETO PÉREZ GARCÍA"

The Municipal Health Directorate Niceto Pérez García, is in charge of complying with and enforcing in the territory the regulations, procedures, principles and methods that govern health services and hygiene and epidemiology; prioritizing the needs of the population and the proper functioning of services. It implements and controls the strategies and programs of the MINSAP, executes the activities of medicines, medical effects, electromedicine, as well as the assurance and support services for its management, controls compliance with the norms and procedures of narcotic substances.

The municipality has 27 Family Medical Clinics, with staff covered by doctors and nurses, distributed in 2 Basic Work Groups (GBT), 15 in GBT I and 12 in GBT II.

The Gilberto Isalgué González polyclinic, located in the municipal seat, provides the services of: Stomatology, Medical Emergencies, Vaccination, Comprehensive Care for Diabetic Patients, Defectology, Pediatrics, Clinical Laboratory, Intensive Therapy, Electrocardiogram, Ultrasound, Family Planning, Care for the infertile couple, Genetics, Physical Rehabilitation, Mental Health, Psychology, Social work, Gynecology, ITS, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Nutrition, Ophthalmology, Care for the Elderly, Logophony, Podiatry (Hours every day from 8:00 am-12:00pm, 1:00 pm-4:00pm).

The Community Screening is received on the second Thursday of each month with the consultations of: Angiology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Urology, Endocrine, Maxillofacial and Psychiatry.

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, inter-consultations are held in the different Popular Councils.
